Walmart Registries
Customers can create registries for baby showers, weddings, charities and events. Birthday parties, fundraisers and housewarming parties are covered under the event registry. Those who create a baby registry receive a free welcome box of $40 worth of baby products.

New User Discounts
Walmart sometimes offers a discount code for new customers. In January 2021, Walmart offered $10 off on a pickup order of $50 for new customers.

Referral Program
Walmart has a referral program where shoppers can get a $10 promo code by referring someone to Walmart Grocery. Referrals must complete an order through Walmart Grocery for the $10 promo code to be rewarded. Those who want to participate in the referral program are given a unique link that they can share on social media and with friends to get referrals.

Store Credit Card
Customers can apply for the Capital One Walmart Rewards Card to earn 5% cashback on Walmart online purchases, 2% cashback on in-store Walmart purchases and 1% cashback everywhere else that Mastercard is accepted. Cardholders can redeem their points as checks, gift cards, store credit, flights and hotel bookings.

In-App Discounts
With the Walmart app, customers can save 5 cents per gallon on gas when they go to Walmart and Murphy stations.

Free Curbside Pickup
Customers can save time and money by scheduling free curbside pickup. Employees bag the items and load them into the customer's car. Walmart also announced in Sept. 2022 it will start offering curbside returns. Same concept -- but in reverse (start a return online and hand the item over curbside, without leaving your car).

Walmart's Price Match Policy
If shoppers find a lower price on an item on an eligible competitor's website, Walmart will match the price. Shoppers must contact Walmart Customer Care before ordering the item to receive the lower price. Walmart doesn't price match products from third-party sellers or products that are advertised at a discounted price. Errors in pricing also don't qualify for price matching.

Payment Installment Services
Through Affirm, shoppers can place their Walmart orders on a payment installment plan. All items in the order must be eligible for the Affirm payment method. Fixed monthly payments may be divided over three, six or 12 months.

Layaway
From August 28 to December 14, Walmart stores offer layaway for in-store purchases. Some locations offer layaway for jewelry all year long.

Price Matching
Walmart offers price matching to other specific online retailers. Contact Customer Care before placing your order to receive a discount. Walmart also offers price adjustments through their Savings Catcher app. You receive the price difference in an eGift card.

Return Policies
Walmart return policies vary by department. However, most items may be returned in original condition and original packaging within 90 days of purchase.

Walmart Return Policy Without Receipt
If you'd like to make a return at Walmart without a receipt, bring your valid government-issued ID to the store. If the ID info matches with what's stored in Walmart's database for the purchase, your return will be accepted.

Walmart Exchange Policy
You can exchange most items within 90 days of purchase (some items have shorter exchange deadlines). The Walmart exchange policy is essentially the same as the return policy. Bring in your item and receipt (or ID) and swap the item for another instead of getting a refund. Terms apply -- for example, you can't exchange an item for a different one -- generally, you'll be exchanging for the same item in a different color or size. Note that some items are exchange-only and can't even be processes as a return for refund. Examples include unlocked wireless phones and air mattresses.
